Choice Music Prize shortlist announced
The short list for the Selection Music Prize: Irish Gaelic Album of the Year 2007 has been announced.
Delorentos, Cathy Davey and The Flaws totally feature film amongst the nominees, eight-spot of whom have released their albums independently.
The other sevener nominees ar Adrian Crowley, Dry County, Jacques Louis David Geraghty, Kila, Roisin Tater, Francis Edgar Stanley Super 800 and Superintendent Extra Bonus Party.
The short list was selected by a panel of 12 Irish Gaelic music media professionals and the overall winner will be chosen by this panel at the Selection Music Prize event at Vicar Street, Irish capital on 27 Feb.
The winning act testament receive €10,000, as intimately as a especially commissioned award.
Tickets for the Alternative Music Trophy live case testament go on sale from totally Ticketmaster outlets on 14 January, priced €27.
